Kamla Nehru Mahavidyalaya is set to organize Kurukshetra 2026 – Inter Departmental Sports Tournament under the aegis of Amar Sewa Mandal. The tournament is being organized by the Department of Physical Education & Sports with the objective of fostering sportsmanship, teamwork, and healthy competition among various departments of the institution.
The event will be conducted under the patronage of Hon’ble Dr. Suhasini Wanjari, President, Amar Sewa Mandal; Hon’ble Adv. Abhijit Wanjari, Secretary, Amar Sewa Mandal; and Hon’ble Dr. Smeeta Wanjari, Treasurer, Amar Sewa Mandal.
The tournament will be held under the leadership of Dr. Dilip Badwaik, Principal of the college. The organizing responsibilities are being managed by Abhishek Lambat, Assistant Professor & Head of Department, along with Chetan Mahadik, Assistant Professor.
Kurukshetra 2026 aims to provide a competitive platform where departments will engage in spirited sporting contests, promoting unity, discipline, and excellence through sports.

Industrial Visit to Vasundhara Dairy (Amul)
The Department of Management at Kamla Nehru Mahavidyalaya Nagpur organized an educational industrial visit for students on 14 March 2026 to Vasundhara Dairy Amul.
The main objective of this visit was to provide students with practical exposure to the functioning of the dairy industry and to help them understand how industrial operations are carried out in real time. During the visit, students were introduced to the various stages involved in dairy production, including milk collection, processing, quality control, packaging, and distribution management.
Students also observed the modern machinery and technological processes used in dairy production. The industry experts explained the importance of maintaining hygiene standards, quality assurance, and efficient supply chain management in the dairy sector.
This industrial visit helped students connect their academic knowledge with real-world industrial practices. The interaction with industry professionals also gave students a deeper understanding of management, production planning, and operational processes within the dairy industry.
Overall, the visit proved to be informative, practical, and enriching for the students, providing them valuable insights into the functioning of a large-scale dairy industry.

Kamla Nehru Mahavidyalaya, Nagpur, under the aegis of Amar Sewa Mandal and its Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), is organizing a National Level Faculty Development Programme (FDP) in Hybrid Mode titled “From Chalk to Chatbots: Integrating AI in Teaching & Research.” The programme will be conducted from 25th April to 2nd May 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, at Seminar Hall “Chanakya”. This initiative aims to equip teaching faculties with essential knowledge and practical skills to integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) into teaching-learning processes and research practices, thereby promoting innovation, digital transformation, and technology-driven education.

The FDP focuses on introducing educators to the fundamentals of AI in education, enhancing teaching methodologies using AI tools, and developing skills for AI-based content creation. It also emphasizes promoting AI applications in research, ensuring ethical use of AI in academics, improving student engagement through innovative methods, and building capacity for digital education. By the end of the programme, participants will be able to effectively use AI tools in teaching, design AI-supported lesson plans and e-content, apply AI in research activities such as literature review and data analysis, and adopt student-centric teaching approaches while understanding the ethical implications of AI usage

Educational Visit to ‘Mahalakshmi Saras Fair’ Organized by Department of Sociology
The Department of Sociology, Kamla Nehru Mahavidyalaya, Nagpur, organized an educational visit to the Mahalakshmi Saras Fair on 18th March 2026, with the objective of providing students with practical exposure to rural entrepreneurship and women empowerment initiatives.
The Mahalakshmi Saras Exhibition 2026, held at Reshimbagh Ground, Nagpur from 11th to 23rd March 2026, is organized by the Zilla Parishad in collaboration with the Umed Maharashtra State Rural Livelihoods Mission. The 13-day exhibition featured more than 370 stalls, showcasing a wide range of traditional food items, handicrafts, household products, and rural artefacts created by women self-help groups (SHGs) from across Maharashtra.
A total of 20 students participated in the visit and benefited from this experiential learning opportunity. The primary objective of the visit was to create awareness about women entrepreneurship and to encourage students to explore avenues for self-employment.
During the visit, students observed that around 100 stalls were dedicated to traditional food items, while approximately 270 stalls displayed handmade products, including jute goods, handicrafts, and household items. The exhibition also included awareness initiatives, such as a voter awareness stall, where several students actively enrolled themselves in the electoral list.
The visit proved to be highly informative and inspiring, as students gained valuable insights into grassroots entrepreneurship and the role of women in economic development. It also served as a motivational experience, encouraging students to recognize emerging opportunities for employment and self-reliance.
